est ce que quelqu'un a dejà utilisé les waves bundles gold en 64 bits ????
( ssl, renaissance ect ..) il me semble que cela ne marche pas !!!!! :roll:

J'ai lu que les plugins VST 32 bits (les DX ne le sont pas) étaient utilisables en 64 bits grâce au BitBridge de Sonar :

This is where SONAR's BitBridge™ comes in. BitBridge enables the use of 32-bit VST effects and instruments in SONAR's 64-bit environment. BitBridge technology extends the viability and use of your favorite VST plug-ins; ensures future compatibility of freeware, even for the most obscure, independently developed shareware plug-ins. In some cases installing the 32bit version of SONAR on your 64bit OS is necessay.

6) What features are not supported in SONAR x64 Edition at this time?
- ReWire support for 32-bit clients like Project 5 V2, Reason 2, and Fruity Loops
- 32-bit DirectX plug-ins
- DreamStation DXi2
- VSTi MIDI Output
- MPEX time/pitch stretching. A 64-bit library is not available for the MPEX time/pitch stretching algorithm, so this feature is not supported in SONAR x64. SONAR's internal time/pitch stretching will be used instead. You can also any AudioSnap features, such as Slip-Stretching as an alternative.
- Microsoft has yet to provide x64 codecs for the following formats, so they are not yet supported:
- MP3 import
- Windows Media Video import/export
- Apple has yet to release QuickTime for Windows x64, so QuickTime import/export is not yet supported. Note: MPG 1 movie files can be imported.

Effectivement, et la version 32 bits de Sonar s'installe sur windows 64 bits, permettant l'utilisation de plugins 32 bits.

si j'ai bien compris,  les dxi ne fonctionnent pas en 64 bits , seulement les vsti
il faut installer sonar en 32 bits sur vista 64 pour pouvoir faire marcher les plug 32  !!!
on s'y perd dans tout cela, j'avais essayé vista 64 avec sonar 8.31 64 bits !!!
a suivre donc :roll: Mais si on installe Sonar en 32 bits sur un OS 64, on ne perd pas l'avantage d'etre en 64 bits ?????

 Les applications 32 bits installées sur un système opérationnel 64 bits, peuvent avoir accès à 4 gb de mémoire.
(Se référer à l'article ci-dessous du gourou informatique; Noel Borthwick de Cakewalk)
 Dans les faits, certains plugins fonctionnent assez bien avec le BitBridge.

Avec ma configuration, le passage de 32 bits à 64 bits est assez simple.
 Deux versions pour le même prix:
 J'utilise les plugins et synthés 64bits de Sonar, Izotope Ozone 4 64bits et les nouvelles versions de plugins 64 bits de Voxengo (excellents).
Je suis agréablement surpris des performances de BFD 2 32bits avec le BitBridge de Sonar !

mais c'est quoi ce bitbridge de sonar ????????
et puis; installer deux versions de sonar8 ,je ne vois pas l'utilité , quand on démarre un projet nouveau, rien nous dit que l'on va avoir besoin de B4 II ou pro 53
ou ssl comp ou API 2500

La suite Sonitus est-elle compatible 64 bits ? Car ce sont des plugins DX et ça serait bête de devoir s'en passer...

C'est ce qui permet d'utiliser des plugins 32 bits, avec la version de Sonar 64bits.
bit: unité de la numération binaire (0 ou1)
bridge: pont

Oui, l'excellente suite de Sonitus, est offerte en version 64 bits.

voila tout est réinstallé ou presque, j'ai les API Waves qui ne fonctionnent pas, mais le bundle waves marche
j'ai mi sonar en 32 bit car si les deux versions sont installées, lorque l'on clique sur un projet, c'est d'office sonar 64 qui s'ouvre
donc pas les plug in 32 
j'ai donc vista 64 pro avec sonar 32 et cela fonctionne, je ne vois pas encore de différence ....si ce n'est les 6GO de ram
on m'avait dit que le i7 920 etait 210 fois plus véloce que le dual 2.6, c'est pas visible du tout, même boosté a 2.9 le i7
met autant de temps a bouncer un projet qu'avant .......

En tout cas, pour l'instant les plugins waves ne sont pas compatibles 64 bits, et a ma connaissance ne fonctionnent pas dans sonar 64

au prix des plugs, il pourrait y avoir des suites compatibles vista et 64 Bits en upgrade ou update
a ce jour je tourne avec sonar 32 sous vista 64 .................
